Just as a plant thrives with adequate sunlight, water, and nutrient-rich fertilizer, humans and pets also need a balanced diet supplying essential nutrients for routine tasks. This principle is particularly crucial for pets as their diets may not replicate what they would consume in the wild.
Supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids enrich the body’s internal environment, fortifying cellular protection, repair, and regeneration processes. Among these supplements is what we call vitamin B17 – Laetrile, concentrated amygdalin, found in raw nuts, bitter almonds, apricot, and cherry seeds, and plants like lima beans, clover, and sorghum.
Since both humans and animals don’t produce B17 internally, it must be sourced from their diets. Pets instinctively seek nutrients they lack, which may explain behaviors like grass-eating in cats and dogs to obtain vitamins present in nature, including B17-rich diets of wild herbivores.
